BROWARD ATTORNEYS CONTINUE LONG FAMILY HISTORY OF BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (July 16, 2008) – Alan Levine and Ray Ferrero III, partners in the law firm Addiction Recovery Legal Services (ARLS), have more than being business partners in common – their families have decades of work history together in South Florida.

What started as an idea to target a niche market of clients in the legal industry turned into a trip into their families past and the six degrees of separation that eventually joined them in their business partnership.  Working in carpet sales in Broward County, George Levine (father of Alan Levine) and Ray Ferrero, Sr. (Grandfather of Ray Ferrero III) spent years working side by side until George left to work as a bailiff at the Broward County Courthouse.  It happens to be that George was assigned to the very same courtroom that a young Ray Ferrero was also assigned to as a public defender.

While working as a public defender Ferrero specialized in Florida’s Marchman Act, a means in which families can have a loved one with a substance abuse issue court ordered into treatment, Alan Levine was specializing in Florida’s Baker Act, a means in which families can have a loved one with a mental health issue court ordered into treatment.  After working side by side for years, Levine and Ferrero, like their father and grandfather before them, decided to formalize the arrangement that now makes them South Florida’s most prominent legal service specializing in mental health and drug addiction cases.

“It is a coincidence that we would end up being business partners after our families worked together for decades,” said Alan Levine.  “Both of our families are deep rooted in Broward County and we are thrilled to be able to work together.”

Addiction Recovery Legal Services is a Fort Lauderdale-based law firm specializing in the Florida’s Marchman Act and helping families with the process of getting their loved ones into treatment.  ARLS provides families all of the resources that they will need to provide court ordered substance abuse assessment, stabilization and treatment.  Together, partners Alan Levine and Ray Ferrero III have helped thousands of individuals and families throughout the State of Florida.  ARLS is headquartered at 600 South Andrews Avenue, Suite 600 in Fort Lauderdale.  For more information on ARLS please call 1-877-35-ABUSE or visit www.ARLSBroward.com
